Metal Study, in Oils

Before I go any further with my other painting involving metal, I figured I'd do some studies.
It's actually pretty fun. I'm going to set up a few more still lives with different variants of metal. Chrome, matte, rusted, colored, what ever I can find.

DBZ Series?

Vegeta

Say Cheese [Print]

I drew this about a year ago, but I just really like how it looks.
The perspective is a bit distorted, I think it adds to the charm of it.

Plein Air Paintings

Close up on of painting 2

Painting 1

 Painting 2

Getting some "plein-air" paintings done.
It feels great to just go out and paint.
Just layering the paint, moving it around, mixing colors, it's the best practice.
I'll be putting up more later on throughout this and next week.
*These paintings are High Res so zoom in and look at the brush strokes and paint application.

Interview with Ash Thorp

THE COLLECTIVE - Ep.17 - Mike Yakovlev
I was lucky enough to have the awesome artist Ash Thorp have me on his Podcast show, "The Collective-Podcast."
It was a fun time and very eye-opening. I' hoping he'll have me again once I've landed a few notable gigs, haha!

Poster remakes for classic tales.

Aladdin

 Frog Prince

I gotta say, it's a bit challenging for me to create "supper-happy-fun-time" childish art.
But hey, it was a good experience.

The One Percent

Made this after watching an interesting documentary about
the grandson of Johnson & Johnson CEOs. It's a good documentary and really interesting, I recommend it.

24 Hour Comics Day/ Illustration

Master cop of "Thief of War" by Dom Saponaro

 Sparth style

Instead of making a comic this year, I tried to do as many paintings as I could in the time that I gave myself. About 8 paintings in 17 Hours. Some of these where for practice, some where personal paintings, and some where for a story I'm putting together.

Space Ship Maintenance

I know it's not much, but I'm proud of it.
Also I plan on making it into an illustration, so we'll see how that goes!
